We are to submit to our husband's headship as our husband is to submit to Christ.... it's impossible to have two heads and God puts more responsibility on the man who is directly under God's authority...
It's not about power, it's about love. Love makes us submissive to our husband because we love Christ, Who is equal to the Father (is in fact part of the Trinity), yet still is submissive to His Will....

Someone asked me shortly after we were married how my husband and I were handling this very topic, and what came out of my mouth that day has guided me in the ensuing 29 years: I'm trusting God and I'm trusting my husband.

DeleteThis is great in theory, but in our military lifestyle it never works out as well in practice. Husband is gone and when he is home, he leaves the lead to the person who has charge over it consistently. #GlobalBlogging
